Ghee is the favourite of most of the people from children to elders. Along with nice taste, it also provides several health benefits like improves immunity, strong bones, weight loss, improves appetite and so on.

Ghee is also called as clarified butter, it is widely used in many different cuisines, traditional treatments and in sacred rituals. Ghee is prepared by simmering butter and straining oil from other components. It is used in many cultures from thousands of years and discovers its roots in ancient ayurveda. In many cuisines and cultures ghee is said to be the devotional, traditional, nitrifying food and used as cooking fat in many areas. Ghee is a significant power food and has many health benefits. In India and Pakistan Ghee is used to make many delicious sweets, savoury recipes and in rice preparations like biryani, pongal and kichidi. Ghee is useful for us and it cleans the body from inside and out i.e. physically and mentally. It is vastly used to treat burns, rashes and also hydrates our skin and scalp. Ghee and butter has same features, nutritional values and culinary properties. Ghee made from cow milk is very effective than other.

Ghee has a high smoke point :
We can cook food recipes in ghee at a high smoke point, it will not break down or hit flash point. Many other cooking oils when cooked at high flame reach flash point and lead to fire related incidents in the kitchen.
Ghee does not get spoiled easily :
Ghee does not get spoiled easily, we can pour ghee in a tight container or jar away from heat and light and can leave it and use it for almost three months. If kept in fridge we can use it up to one year.
Ghee is rich in Vitamins :
Ghee is rich in fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K. Along with vitamins it also has dietary fats which plays an important role in our body in absorbing these vitamins.
Good for digestive system and improves immune system :
Ghee stimulates stomach acid secretion naturally and improves digestive system. Ghee is rich in butyric acid and short chain fatty acid, these acids helps in improving cells of intestine and helps in digestion of food.
Ghee has high antioxidant content which strengthens our immunity system, ghee helps in absorption of vitamins, nutrients and minerals in the body and thus recharges our immune system.

Ghee contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which improves insulin resistance and helps in fighting cancers.  Butyrate enemas and oral butyrate supplements present in ghee effectively treats inflammation in the bowels and also has anti-viral properties.
Ghee reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases :
Ghee is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which helps to prevent cardio vascular diseases. It is also believed and proved that people who eat ghee regularly has low risk of heart diseases than people who eat less ghee.
Ghee also helps to improve eyesight, provides energy, treats burns, beneficial for skin and hair, relieves constipation, helps to lose weight, acts as a brain tonic and improves brain function, acts as moisturiser, improves appetite and has positive impact on mind and spirit. Though ghee has numerous health benefits, high intake or unhealthy intake of ghee may lead to some health problems.
