What is Arteriovenous Fistula Disorder?

Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) disorder is an abnormal link or relation between an artery and vein. In this condition blood directly flows from an artery into a vein. In some cases like hemodialysis arteriovenous fistula are created to be useful in dialysis. Arteriovenous fistula provides good blood flow for dialysis, has low risk of infection, clot, it is better than other access types and helps people with kidney disorders in dialysis. These abnormal links are hereditary and can develop in anywhere in the body, but mostly these are seen in arms and legs. These links differ in size, length, number and location.
