Brief explanation about Diabetes :

Diabetes which is also referred as Diabetes mellitus (DM) in medical terms is a metabolic disease. Diabetes is a long term disease in which a person’s ability to produce or use insulin by pancreas gets affected. Insulin is a hormone produced by beta cells of pancreas, it helps glucose which we get from food we eat to get into body cells. The glucose entered into cells is used for energy. Without insulin glucose cannot reach cells, it stays in our body fluids. When pancreas fails to produce insulin or produces little insulin or our body does not respond or use the insulin produced by pancreas effectively it is treated as diabetes. Diabetes is a chronic disorder and has no cure. High glucose levels in body are called hyperglycemia and low glucose levels are called as hypoglycaemia. People with hyperglycemia face symptoms like increased thirst, blurred vision and fatigue. People with hypoglycaemia face symptoms like dizziness, confusion, sweating and weakness.

There are different types of Diabetes, the most commonly seen 3 types are
Type 1 diabetes– it is a situation where pancreas fails to produce insulin or produces little insulin.
Type 2 diabetes– a situation where body cells fails to use or respond to the insulin produced by pancreas.
Gestational diabetes- in this type diabetes develops in women when they are conceived. In this case diabetes goes soon after delivery or baby is born.
Some other types of diabetes include inherited form of diabetes, maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY), latent autoimmune diabetes of adults (LADA) and prediabetes.
Some common symptoms of diabetes include polydipsia (increased thirst), polyuria (frequent urination), weight loss, infections, polyphagia (increased hunger), slow healing of cuts and wounds, blurred vision, fatigue, itchy skin and headache. Diabetes is caused by several factors like hereditary, obesity, hormonal imbalance, physical inactivity and lifestyle.

Homeopathy treatment for Diabetes :

Homeopathy treatment for diabetes is very effective in controlling the symptoms, though diabetes cannot be treated completely, it can be managed with homeopathy. Homeopathy treatment is safe to use and also improves general health of the people. A professional homeopath prescribes treatment based on the symptoms and severity of diabetes.
